Commercial Certificate

General Requirements:
1. Be at least 18 years of age. 2. Hold at least a private pilot certificate. 3. Be able to read, speak and understand the English langauge. 4. Obtain at least a current second-class FAA medical certificate. 5. Pass the FAA written knowledge test as well as the FAA practical flight test.
Flight Requirements:
1. At least 250 hours of flight time as a pilot that may include not more thn 50 hours of flight simulator instruction in an approved FAA simulator.
2. The 250 hours total time must include:
a. 100 hours in powered aircraft - 50 hours must be in airplanes;
b. 100 hours pilot-in-command time - 50 hours cross country in airplanes
c. 20 hours of flight instruction to include:
1. 10 hours of instrument - 5 hours in a single-engine airplane;
2. 10 hours in a complex airplane or turbine powered;
3. 2 hours of day VFR cross country, straight-line distance of 100nm from departure point;
4. 2 hours of night VFR cross country, straight-line distance of 100nm from departure point
d. One solo cross country of 300nm, with three landings, and a straight-line distance of 250nm from the departure point;
e. 5 hours of night solo VFR conditions with 10 takeoffs/landings at an airport with an operating control tower
